Our district’s mission since 1996 has been to provide effective and conscientious mosquito control so our residents can enjoy the outdoors. Not many people think about mosquitoes until they’re getting bitten. My job as the district’s sole employee is to let you continue to forget about mosquitoes. Some of my day-to-day is behind the scenes: setting mosquito traps, tracking where larvae are living, informing local corporations/governments/individuals how to prevent stagnant water from forming. Other parts are highly visible: everyone within a mile can hear our drone when I’m treating for mosquito larvae nearby. Regardless of visibility, my intent is to always be transparent with how your tax dollars are used and readily available should you have a mosquito problem.

Living amongst nature, as many on Camano Island love to do, means occasionally seeing mosquitoes. If they ever get particularly bad, whether at a public park, outside your house, or anywhere else within the district, please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know. I rely on reports from people like you to help me find new mosquito sources.

Thanks so much for taking time to learn about our activities. I’m available Monday through Friday 7 - 3 should you have any questions or concerns. Enjoy the outdoors!
